On January 16, 2019, the Oklahoma Music Archives was founded. The mission of the archives was to preserve the past, present, and future of Oklahoma music through the collection of data about Oklahoma musical artists and their music. Its goal was to preserve and archive this information in a central location, so these artists and their music could continue to reach new fans. Today, we are proud to announce the next evolution in the archives: OKMA Records.
OKMA Records expands upon our original mission by bringing the actual music into your ears. We offer a variety of services to artists of all genres, both past and present, including worldwide digital distribution, physical media production, media digitization, and localized merchandising. These services are offered to our artists with no upfront costs, allowing current artists to stay focused on being creative and promoting their brand while offering a no risk incentive for past artists to put their music back out in the world.
OKMA Records is a nonprofit organization and all net proceeds go toward the maintenance of Oklahoma Music Archives and OKMA Records as well as supporting the development of the musical arts community across Oklahoma.
